What does most of the flying look like for junior global reserve in EWR/SFO?

You would be correct is you remove the FSB. Not a common occurrence on the Global Fleet…

In a month of WB reserve, how many Shorts Calls are guys being tasked with, and of those, how many are being used to fly? Like actual data, I feel this isn’t as bad as some like to portray.

I know a 78 FO who had 9 SC last month. So there’s that. Not sure how many were assigned vs picked up.

And how many are assigned to fly by the company? 5-9 short calls seems like a lot, but if they are only flying 1 or 2, being in base with a reserve schedule like that doesn’t sound too bad.

Yes, actually it is.....Short call, rest reset, short call, rest reset, short call.....you get the idea.

What is really dumb, is for the long trips, short call actually is a liability for the company. You can't do short call very long and still be legal. The crew desk assigns it because they can. Often, no logical reason for it.

Hmmmmmmm............How much again would it cost the company to cancel a WB long haul flight because they wanted to use a SCR because they can, and they timed out?

Ballpark figure?

Again though, no one has answered the 2nd of the original 2 questions. If you’re getting tagged with 5-9 SCs per month as was described, how many of those are being used by the company to fly?
