I keep telling myself that by the time that I’m able to work at a legacy it might get better, but going through the threads it looks like United go through the same cycle every couple of years lol. So I guess DL here I come lol

Guys…Cmon. He’s a student pilot so it’ll be easily 5+ years before he’s likely to be competitive. WHY do you guys imply that nothing will be improved between now and the time if/when he’s hired??

Average time in the regional and/or LCC game has dipped into the 2 year range, with both Delta and United hiring right at 1000 turbine and sometimes less, however, who knows what it will look like even in 3 years? If you get a job offer from United or Delta, you take the one who offers the first class date, IMO. A student pilot assuming either of those jobs will be a “pick’em” at that point is being unrealistic at best.
