Because the company appears to be engaging in some serious mental gymnastics in costing QOL improvements.

Yup. I never understood why I was supposed to care what imaginary value the company places on a contract. I was promised industry leading & my vote will be based on that metric- not an estimated price tag.

Notice no one ever mentions that fares are up 30% since our last raise? Somehow that doesn’t get figured into their very precise calculations of how costly it is to pay us.

That and SK said the contract costs would be a pass through to the customer. If both of these are true then it wouldn't impact the corporations bottom line as much as they cry about. Yet they drag it out as long as they can.

Because delta had a far better starting point in quality of life items than we did, their old contract is significantly better than our current

Serious question…. Other than reserves, can you quantify significantly better for QoL? Unless you are talking about LTD and PS…. which is where I see the $$$.

QoL items is debatable… other than pay//PS changes on the newer contract not much different than what we are asking.

Maybe this is bluster, maybe it isn't.

tbe real question is what industry leading really means. Everyone seems to be fixated on. $ figure.

is that adjusted for size of pilot group? More prompts means more $ obviously. And what is the baseline to add $8B to? We arguable have to catch up to just get pre contract DL level

$8B isn’t getting even close to industry leading

Seen quite a few news articles quoting Kirby today.

Considering the NC got crickets yesterday, seems to me that this is another bluff from the liars in management.

Considering the MEC hasn’t even scheduled the Strike Vote yet, I’d say they think we are fairly close

Agreed. If they are truly ready to wrap up the deal everyone remember if Kirby gets 5 years on this ILC we’ll be stuck with this for a decade!
