Just wondering..
IF you’re willing to accept Delta rates but our current rules-
are you willing to accept Delta work rules but our current rates?
A contract is a formula taking EVERYTHING into consideration.

I get it, FEAR is a strong motivator to accept crap. But, when is ENOUGH Enough?

This contract needs to fix items dating back to both Legacy Contracts (Over 20 years ago). No one likes that it’s dragging on. But, this is the Leadership we have. So be it.
I refuse to fail to make them look good.
Either we both succeed, Or we both fail.

Management knows what they have to do.. and most of us also know what we have to do..

What is the point of bidding for days off if they can unilaterally screw you later? Absolute garbage. This new contract can’t come soon enough.
Wow - they do that to you guys at mainline?

I thought that was just a regional thing. They do that to us, too. Every. Month.

At least, to reservists. I don't know if it happens to lineholders.

United’s reserve rules are worse than regionals in many ways and on par in a few ways. Greatly behind DAL, AA, JetBlue etc.

Delta got 4% for 2020 and 2021. I am not expecting any meaningful retro for 2020 and 2021. The same as Delta would be fine. I’m really focused on meaningful retro back to 1/1/2022 (like Delta got).

I’d hate to think a person hired to that senior of a level would be blatantly inflammatory in a goodbye letter. I would love to think that this was a very intentional comment designed to direct the groups anger at him directly…now no longer a direct UAL employee but an invisible man behind the curtain “assisting” so that the new management team can be held less responsible. The new VPs bring the contract and are the heroes while the outgoing BQ is the hated old boss.

but more than likely he really is just a jerk and giving the middle finger to ALPA.

You've got to be at CommuteAir. They are called reserves. Reservist is a military term!

let’s call it signing bonus I have no issue with that

here it is

2019 12 percent of your W2 from Feb to Dec ( record profit year for UAL)
2020 5%
2021 5%
2022 14%
2023 24%

Otherwise F No of whatever TA it is

Sailing, please stop fighting for your personal agenda in another carriers forum. Delta DID get retroactive pay, just not “Full” retro (and the difference was 40 cents on the dollar, not 30). A ‘signing bonus’ doesn’t include retired pilots, or pay based on a percentage of each individual’s paychecks. Delta’s retro pay did both.
