Spoken like someone who works at the schoolhouse. I certainly hope that it’s tongue in cheek.

No LCA or F/O fill in from TK would ever spout that crap to a Captain on the line. I suspect he’s trolling us a bit.

yeah the reference is a bit old but I think you may remember the commercial once you see it.

I’m sure I saw it back in the day, but my memory just isn’t what it used to be!

I had a TK instructor tell me that as an FO I shouldn’t be backing the CA up on the taxi route.

Ya help out the Capt (as a GOOD FO should) and the instructor tells you that you should let the Capt make the mistake...
So, next day you don't say anything and because you now have a DIFFERENT instructor, he gives you crap for NOT telling the Capt about the upcoming taxiway!
LOL
You can't make this **** up...

And for those who are new, and coming here- the above is no lie~

I had a mechanic complain one day that when I opened the window, and it broke--which canceled the flight, that I shouldn't be touching it. I said, what? An emergency evacuation route?? I can't touch it, when did that happen, to which he had no reply.

It’s more a question of why couldn’t they close it? I hope it isn’t because they failed to pull the release. Yes, there have been people hitting the line who weren’t trained on how to open/close.

That is negative training. They need to fix the FTD’s if that is the case.
