Perhaps the digital message was directed at pilots, as a way the build awareness and solidarity.

Considering who our group elected in the past and kept in office for years before it was realized they were negotiating on behalf of the company, any effort to raise awareness, increase solidarity and knowledge is a good investment in view.

Thank you ALPA.

The company isn't the reason we don't have a CBA. Kirby and the BOD are just using the tools we have given them. We have given them many gifts.

I think the pilot group is very AWARE that our contract is past due. It’s time ALPA goes on a full out media campaign even to include the threat of a strike. We all know the chances of a strike are slim but the general public doesn’t.

The time for being nice is OVER. Kirby has lost this pilot group. He can go the way of Tilton and Smisek.

Thats what I’ve been trying to say. We should have been having commercials mentioning a threat to strike during the March Madness championships and again w the NFL draft coming up.

Sure, we likely won’t get released but the public isn’t smart enough to know that and will book away if we put it out there.

The Delta mediator took great offense to the CEO saying the pilots could not strike. If you end up in mediation your game plan would probably end up being very expensive. If I were king I would give UAL 2 weeks. If you don’t get it done file for mediation. Talking strike before you are in mediation is not putting the cart before the horse, it’s not even owning a cart!

Welcome to Discussion Questions! Your post is worthy of discussing!

1.) What else would you do if you were King for a day? What would your King name be?
2.) How much (roughly, in Japanese yen) does it cost to own a cart?

Thank you for choosing Discussion Questions!

The weird spelling of "U.A. Alpa" makes me think it was not sanctioned or paid for by ALPA.

There is video of this sign with announcer audio reading it to the assembled fans.

At the risk of embarrassing myself, which is hard to do on a forum using a pseudonym, what is the significance of the "rowing" comment in the sign?

I'm thinking if the Yankee Stadium officials knew this was a union dig against Kirby they would not have posted it. It's written like an anniversary for two people, Scott and Kirby. Then a note of encouragement followed by the signature U.A. Alpa. Initials UA and last name Alpa. Honestly, this rivals the NTSB intern who furnished the names of the Asiana crew to the local SFO news station.
