It’s a great point that the number of 3xxxxx file numbers now exceeds the number of pre-merger pilots. What we DON’T need is newer people becoming satisfied that this place is already “good enough” simply by virtue of it being much better than where they were before.

We both know you don’t have to explicitly say “burn it down” to get into trouble. It may truly be that he knows precisely where the lines are drawn better than I do, but for me, some of what he’s saying coupled with the official looking union setting would be a bridge too far.
IOW, he’s not wrong, but I would feel I was putting a target on myself by doing that.

So whenever I hear that line, I cringe.
Yupe. It was grass roots efforts like his and others that showed a lot of pilots that what the last union administration was doing was not working for us, but for management!
He’s never said “burn it down”, “slow down” or “throw a monkey wrench in the system”..
He’s merely telling us to look what’s going on and to be aware.

it’s not “good enough”….but this whole “Doctor Evil” act where we now demand one TRILLION dollars is also counterproductive and hurting our bottom line. Mediation for two years only to get a mediocre result DICTATED to us isn’t anything I support. I know plenty of others who feel the same. Delta+ and QOL gains across the board….absolutely nothing less. But wouldn’t it be nice to know what’s currently being offered? Nope….Uncle MEC knows best, and us mushrooms are better off ignorant in the dark. 🙄

I'm curious what's driving your fears?
Do you have evidence of a federal court judge prohibiting such language? Is there legal precedent in our specific case or something similar? Has United taken the pilot group and ALPA to court, or have UAL lawyers threatened ALPA?
