Default Kirby shows his true colors

The latest MC update proves that Kirby has all along never planned to give us a truly industry leading contract. All of the “matching Delta” was just talk.

PLEASE stop the dog and pony PPD nonsense and listen to our union leadership. I know the lanyard is stupid BUT just wear it. We’re very limited on what we can do, so if Garth tells us to wear a lanyard and use a bag tag - just do it. We’re in for a fight if we expect to force our greedy, self absorbed CEO to give us an “ILC”.

I.d.k,…. Maybe take a strike vote.

It seemed to have worked for Delta and AA’s reps tell us that they were “on the 1 yard line”,….. although to be fair, they didn’t say which “1 yard line”.

The only limits to UAL pilot leverage are the limits the pilot group has placed on itself.

Lanyards and bag tags are nice gestures. They won't get the job done, but anything that helps solidarity is worth it.

Strike vote and NMB are our only help with Kirby entrenched in his position to give almost zero QOL improvements. Yes we will probably lose some big things we cherish (no contract instructors, iro/fo bidding and landings) but it'll be the only way we get all the rest.

Mediation is designed to take the two sides from where they are and get an agreement. The three things that you mentioned are no longer in play.

Posting in here, "here's what I'd give up," doesn't help anyone but the company. Y'all need to stop and let the MEC do its job. Do your job by wearing lanyards, talking to your reps, and not telling the company anything other than to talk to your union.

If management is reading these forums, the only thing they really need to be taking away is this: 3 years ago, we voted in favor of pay & work rule concessions. Since then, you’ve got us to the point where your proposals are being voted down at over 90% & people are taking about strike votes. How would you say you’re doing?

Default Summer of 2000

All I’ll say is a history lesson might be in store for anyone who thinks not having a true industry leading contract is a good idea with the summer season coming up.

Nothing in the RLA was violated I might add!!

the summer from hell
