I’m not the one who posted it, but I am 30% SFO 777 and have NEVER been able to straight drop or trade for a trip with a smaller amount of days, or one that doesn’t exactly shadow my current trip. I admittedly do not try this often as I gave up some time ago. I do remember a time when being a line holder was not necessarily nice because of what you could originally hold, but for what you could do afterwards by trading. From what I’ve experienced since being a line holder the last 5 years there is zero flexibility besides what you can get through PBS. After that unless it’s a straight pick up or an equal or larger trip that includes the original days of the one you are trading for, ‘sorry, min coverage’

…Yeah that email from Garth was Not encouraging.

ALPA just needs to go to Twitter. When good leads the way…. Company’s operations costs are too high, get the hell out of Chicago for goodness sake. IAH isn’t geographically suitable for a fortress hub, go to Nashville and grow it then. Enjoy low cost of living…

I’m in just long enough to not want to have to move but DAL is looking pretty good right now.

Bottom line, is this. The biggest ‘liberal’, union loving group of wannabe socialist exists on social media. Hit now, hit hard ALPA, take the gloves off. The case can be made, do it.

That’s totally not the case. As a new hire, you are prime for moving carriers and having been hired so recently, you are probably at about a zero sum on relative seniority. If you live in FL, as you said you do, unless it’s near MCO, I’d be gone.

Yeah - I sent the email today.

Good luck with the contract fellas. Wish UAL would’ve worked out — I despise double breasted suits and name tags.

You aren’t the first to leave us for Delta.. and after this latest Union Blastmail along with this video (if you haven’t seen it)

https://youtu.be/yyAGzW1GnOQ

you won’t be the last.
Less than 2 weeks for Mr. Kirby to treat this pilot group with Dignity & Respect.
Those who were here before the merger- earned it!
Those who were hired after the merger up until CoVid saw what we had…
And for all you newbies- you are getting a lesson in culture.

A smart choice. I have a feeling many a UAL pilot are warming up their Airlineapps.com profiles.

Damn coming up on 2 years on property and I am strongly considering going for Delta...again. And I live much closer to UAL base than Delta base. Anyone feeling like a loser?

Lucky for you, they are offering a single breasted option this fall.......nametag still required though.
