American Adrift
American is canceling over 50,000 flight this Summer. Over 10,000 at ORD.
Their management couldn’t be more clueless.
Amazing news for United.
In my opinion Kirby will want to close your contract ASAP after the Delta TA passes on March 1st. Just another crushing blow to American.
Even if American replaced their executive management team tomorrow it would take 4 years to right their ship. Kirby knows this and will destroy them.
Lobby your reps to be patient.
Delta came in with an exploding offer and we ate
it. Don’t fall for that trick.
Kirby needs this done.
Lufthansa is canceling over 30,000 flights this Summer.
United it printing money.

Normally I would agree however so far we have been paying cash. Will this continue I have no idea but I believe most of the airplanes this year are cash with some financing.
we will see….also the 737 deal was apparently buy 1 get 2 because we had Max issues (like everyone and the 777) so the deal for all the airplanes over next few years is valued around 13B vs the industry normal would have been 17B.(I read that somewhere shortly after they announced the order).
time will tell but in reality the only thing I truly care about is a contract.

In this case i don't think it's Kool-aid. This is EXACTLY the scenario Kirby has been planning for since pre-COVID. I'm not sure how realistic it is - or how much he's willing to invest in the pilot contract- but I do know that Kirby is trying to rule the world.

Kirby is a bull**** artist. He’s smart and has No qualms lying to anyone to get what he wants… A lot of the **** QOL and industry lagging aspects of the AA contracts are courtesy of Kirby’s tenure there.
