So, just my opinion but- I feel the company needs to offer us a Honest and Fair AIP BEFORE they release their results.
Once they release the results, and IF we knock its out of the park- they will have an even HARDER time making the majority of this pilot group happy PLUS the odds of getting a deal done before June, or no later than July 4th.. are rapidly diminishing.

Just my opinion..but I’m betting that Tuesday, 11 April.

Might stop a few.. definitely cause ALL to think.

And again, if you live in Denver.. I get it.
United is your choice.
After that, it starts to become more interesting.

Just mentioning another piece of the puzzle. Kinda like a Strike Authorization Vote that might have to be put in place in May.
All these things add up!

Anyways, back to the 500~

So this is kinda relevant. How many more hires is ua going to get I the next 3 years. Is joining ua now having missed the boat? How much do you think the new TA has to do with it.

can’t answer that question until we know your expectations.

if you want to be a WB CA and are over 40 the boat is about gone.

if you are in your early 30s you are in good shape.

if you just want to have a good career at a good airline and not have to commute to CA you are in reallly good shape.

If you just cracked 40 and don’t care to be a WB CA, then you will have a great career…….normal small print of course

In 2024-2029 we bring on 130+ new planes each year so you can do your own math as to how many pilots we have to hire. Plus since at least 100 planes coming between 2024 and 2030 are 787s that’s also going to move people up the food chain faster. Anyone hired today could be at 50% on the seniority list in 10 years and sitting in the left seat of a 787 in 12-15 easy. A 2021 hire told me just with retirements and no growth he will be at the seniority to hold 777 CA in 11 years. That’s NO GROWTH and we cancel all our orders. With unfilled 756 CA slots on the west coast and unfilled 737 CA all over the system, it looks like 25,000 is possible by 2028 easy.

I don’t know what’s going on, but Kirby looks like he wants to crush all the other airlines. He even said in a Captain upgrade class that we would be so big in Denver (900 flights a day) that Southwest would probably COMPLETELY LEAVE Denver.

Anyone who is in Denver that wants to be based there and is flying for Southwest might want to think about coming to United. There is ZERO chance United doesn’t grow like crazy in Denver, especially wiht the hundreds of Pilot-Instructors and Evaluators we will have to hire plus the base expansion. If you’re under 45 its a no-brainer. Especially with 1 year upgrades everywhere.

Good luck!
It's amazing how many people here are still falling for the continual BS that SK blows up everyone's tailpipes. How many lies does he need to tell before people realize the guy is all talk?

"SK says we're going to be the best airline in the history of aviation!"..... only to be presented with the TUMI TA.

"SK says it'll only take about two weeks to get an industry leading deal now that Delta led the way!"...... only to receive the latest negotiating committee update.

It's ok though, even if we lack our peers in compensation and QOL.... we've got a bunch of shiny new electric air taxis and BOOMJETS on the way!

Got it, thanks. I thought that I had missed a union email mentioning the date. I’d agree with you. A 94% rejection of a TA followed by all of the recalls sends a pretty strong message to both the union and the company regarding what it will take to come to an agreement. The Delta TA passing will be even more pressure on the company since they know that we won’t accept less. Showing that they’re printing money again after releasing the Q1 results wouldnt help their industry leading lowball offers either.

Not saying our MEC wasn't at fault. They failed completely. The fact remains that SK's boasts about being the premier airline in history has so far been proven to be nothing more than drivel. He's the Baron Munchausen of Airline CEOs. Luckily for us, Delta led the way.
