You could have bought a Bored Ape for $200 when it launched. Today they are $300k-$1.3M on Opensea.
United has 500 retirements a year (on average) for the next 10 years (That’s 5,000 pilots). Also we have 650 airplanes (100 787s) on FIRM order with 200 options (100 787s). We are replacing 400 RJs with mainline planes.
And when you say “History” no airline in the history of aviation has grown by 100 planes a year and United is doing it 5 years in a row. So we HAVE to hire pilots. This isn’t a traditional boom/bust cycle of an airline. SK has decided to completely change the game in his favor to win in the commercial airline world.
The great thing about what United is doing is that you don’t have to be at United to watch the growth and expansion. You can watch it from any airline.
I predict a lot of regret out there that people passed on United or waited a few years to apply, just like the people that didn’t buy Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs as $200.

We will get a deal done in two weeks!
** a subpar deal with concessions in 2023 after 4+ years past due, and less monetary value than Delta.
What a scam artist, it's a shame he has guys chomping at the bits like this.

I’m by no means a Blue Kool Aide drinker, but if you look at DEN the last few years United has grown beyond Term B, sprawled across Term A and I’ve been seeing UA flights now in Term C which has historically been the sole property of SWA. F9 has been relegated to hard stands now when they used to pretty much own the south side of A. It’s been the most profitable hub for years, and there’s no signs of slowing down the expansion there. Between our massive training center in DEN (that keeps growing) and the non-stop expansion, who do you think has more political pull in DEN, UA or SWA?

I am still jaded from United shutting down their Avolar operation. 300 bizjets on order and I didn't get to fly a single one.

SK has stated several times that his goal is to drive AA out of ORD.

WN is growing to around 400 flights a day in DEN and AA will be evicted from the C gates and moving back to A in a year or so. It’ll be the biggest base for WN….and it’s not going anywhere. If UAL is going to 900 flights a day….you’re gonna need way more gates and a couple more runways…neither is happening anytime soon.

the 321XLRs are the 757 replacement and those won’t be here until late 2024/2025. The NEOs are just growth like the MAX aircraft are.

It’s okay, you don’t have to believe everything Kirby says. The Tumi TA wasn’t the best you’d get, and United isn’t going to go into every hub for every airline and just….force all the competition out. Have a bigger presence? Sure. Create a situation that forces the other to 5 airlines to shrink? Get real.

United and the other majors are already hiring 23 year old social media influencers with barely enough time, and need 3000 more pilots, along with the thousands the other big 4 need.

AA -SFO
DL-DFW
UA-JFK
CO-DEN
UA-SEA
DL-ORD
IF AA isn’t careful they are going to get pushed out of LAX too by DL and UA.
prior to COVID AA cut all flying to Asia out of ORD. Everytime I’m in ORD I see nothing but Eagle flights.
this isn’t me Believing what Kirby says it’s me see what AA is doing.
