Why would an incident on departure lead to an enhanced landing course? The ADSB shows them getting awfully slow. If it’s accurate.

what makes a 777 harder than a 737 or 757/767?

but you probably meant repetition!

Is the issue that there was only one “experienced” pilot in the aircraft as opposed to two? Or should this not really have happened to a 777 CA in the first place? The info I heard was a new CA and a new hire FO. Not trolling, serious question.

As previously thought, wheres IG Garrett when we need a real pilots critique? OK, that was somewhat trolling.

It's not just a landings class. I haven't done it on the 777, but I had to go through landings when the 764 came back. It was V1 cuts, V2 cuts and visual approaches with a max crosswind thrown in. It sounds like the enhanced course for the Triple may even go above and beyond that now.

One takeaway for everyone is not continuing to destination after almost crashing into the ocean, exceeding G limits, reportedly overspeeding the flaps, and apparently not writing it up in the logbook after arrival in SFO.

‘Apparently’ what proof do you have the flap oversleep wasn’t written up?

Since you were clearly at the controls, I mean why else why else would you know such details, why didn’t you write it up?

Someone posted the ac’s turn time after landing in SFO earlier in the thread.
