careful though - junior folks getting 777 lines in SFO and EWR is an outlier. I wouldn’t count on it as a steady state deal

5 years like 787 is more likely in the long run

The grass isn’t always greener. Delta currently bumped their hiring numbers up to 2000-2500 in 2023. Thats a lot of seniority underneath you.

You got me there. The tiny percent of pilots who upgrade sub year on the ER might get to taste the actual widebody once or twice a year on reserve.. And they barely get more pay per hr than a 737 capt.

Still waiting for your answer on how long it currently is for the REAL widebody capt:330/350? That’s what I thought son..

Don’t come here thinking you will get a 777 line within the first year. The new guys getting lines are outliners.

Which of those “real” widebodies at United?

doesn’t change the fact that you were materially incorrect twice.

You were talking about the 2022 hires at DL.. I’m well aware United doesn’t have the 330/350. If you look up a couple posts it’s about 20 yrs for 777/787 capt at United.

For the 3rd time.. how long until 330/350 capt at DL? Since you want to split hairs, when I said widebody, I meant highest paying category. For some reason delta seems think the smaller 767 should pay closer to a 737 than a 350

Currently about 25 years to WBA (330/350/767-400) at DL. In about 5 years it’ll drop to ~20 years

Roughly 22-24% company wide seniority…our 2014 hires are already at 42%, so we could be looking more like maybe 15 years quickly, assuming we don’t farm out more jobs via JV

Thank you! Pretty big difference between new hires getting upgrade in the ER vs the 330/350.

And yet they’re all widebodies. I know your only experience is MSFS but you do know the definition right?
