This also isn't "are you voting for x or y?" We have so many different subgroups of pilots 600 just isn't enough.

Legacy CAL
Legacy UAL
Post Merger hires
Post Covid hires
Flight Instructors
LCAs
Commuters
Non commuters
Lifetime widebody FOs
One year 756 captains
etc etc etc

Although from what I've heard like what was just previously stated the questions being asked are so bad it doesn't seem like it will matter in the end.
While I understand your list here, how does 'post covid' place someone in demographic that demands to be heard? Not that they are insignificant mind you, but comparatively speaking, post-covid hires know very little about the UAL bankruptcy contract and CAL phhuck-em-on-a-dare contract of '02. The UPA was a bandage to bridge the gap between groups, drag them out of the toilet, and provide a foundation from which the new contract could be achieved. Anyone post-covid has enjoyed LOA, MOU's and paybumps making years 1-3 blissful compared to what the rest of the pilot group endured. 600 calls is simply not enough. They could start by releasing the polling data that Tumi T & Co. collecteted (and trashed) (that has since been leaked) that showed where folks were back in 2018/2019.

We're fighting each other so hard that 94% of us voted the same. Why can't we get along???

…because the elected leaders that represent us are under performing and failing to deliver. The failure to even meet the low end of expectations is based on a completely out of touch NC and MEC leadership team.

I have to believe that the subs being made are the new first string O that will produce actual results. More importantly they represent an updated and accurate demand list from the current and future pilot group.

Patience is key. I’m giving it the benefit of doubt as painful as this process has been.

We have 6 months from 12Dec to progress or I’m pulling chocks for DAL. Nothing personal. Just business. I refuse to live with disfunction for 35 more years.

Being unified against a giant turd like the Tumi TA is easy. Kind of like saying that 94% of us don’t want a kick in the junk. The problem is that our union is a hot mess. We’re too busy arguing which faction should be in charge that not much is actually getting done. Once we settle on leadership, hopefully we move forward. Sounds like Delta will probably have a TA to vote on soon and those that I’ve talked to think it will pass. If that happens, and if we get our house in order, hopefully we can use that as the absolute floor and build from there. I expect Delta+ as an absolute minimum, but those who think that the company will sign off on inflation adjusted contract 2,000 should expect to be disappointed.

If you’re really considering DAL, why wait 6 months? Why would you let 350 get hired before you decide to make the jump?

I may have lost a lot of faith but not all of it. 350 numbers won’t mean much over 30+ years. I think I can hold out. The CJO has year shelf life according to the hiring dept.

F/O I just flew with is leaving for DAL as well, although he only got hired here a few months ago, so not much to lose.

With the volume both of us are hiring at... new hires better act fast. The only reason to leave imo is living in base or some deep sentimental connection- a current distaste for union politics is not a good reason to blow 1500+ numbers, but to each their own. All the usual suspects will be gone in 5 yrs 🤷🏼‍♂️
