Sorry if this was posted elsewhere. Was MCO included on this vacancy? If so did it go super senior? From what I remember reading its only on the 73 as of now. Currently at B6. Will soon be FLL based. Live in central Florida and came to B6 due to the MCO base. Living halfway between MCO and TPA with this base announcement has me thinking of applying. Just shy of 1000 turbine which I saw is no longer a minimum and now preferred.
If anyone else from B6 has made the switch over would you mind PM'ing me and letting me know how you've liked the switch so far. I'm fairly young so I know I run the risk of not getting the 73 at all. And having to continue to commute. Just thinking long term instead of short term.
Again apologize if all this info is posted elsewhere. I just know stuff gets posted quickly and I have a lot of reading and catching up to do so apologies if this is beating a dead horse and I am in the wrong spot looking for if any of this already has been answered elsewhere.

if/when Tampa gets a union agreement for crosstown with MCO, the numbers will double. But we aren’t signing anything like that until we get a contract.

Nobody wants early starts and late finishes?
I suppose I can kind of understand that if you’re a commuter. A commuter wants late starts and early finishes. Guess what that gives you! Low credit/low paying trips. And guess what that gives you! Fewer days off!!! For everyone on this forum saying the trips are why no one is upgrading, how would you build them differently? Keep in mind people like me (and there’s a few of us)that value high time trips and maximum days off?
for the commuters out there I can empathize with the situation having been a Newark and Houston commuter. You want commutable trips but high credit. It doesn’t really exist. Opening new bases seems like a logical solution to the problem of our pilots not wanting to bite the commuting reserve to ewr, sfo, dca, ord. Not to mention we aren’t willing to move to cities that have some of the highest costs of living in the world. Keep them bases opening. My 2¢

But I understand pilots living in base want nothing to do with 5 day trips.

As a commuter I wouldn't mind narrow body 5 day trips if they were descent credit and commutable on both sides. If I'm going to do a non commutable 4 day trip(a 5 day trip for a commuter) and pay for a hotel room I might as well try to get paid for the commute day and the hotel.
But I understand pilots living in base want nothing to do with 5 day trips.
