Default Here Come The -900s

Congrats, guess Mesa will start flying -900s for UAX.

Some of those 900s are showing their age. Enjoy.

Scope won't allow unless something is seriously changed.

Those pilots who are currently flying -900’s for AA will now be freed up to check out on the 175’s for the UAX side. The -900’s are not United’s problem and parking or selling them could allow Mesa to properly staff the UAX side.

I don’t know UA’s scope agreement with their pilot group. Can anyone share exactly why you all are saying the company is scoped out? I’m not questioning the validity of that statement just wanting to learn what the agreement is and how it’s currently at its limits. Thanks.

There is a hard number of RJ's over 50 seats and over a certain weight, they already have that many. -900s are too heavy to be 50 seat jets. The number of 60/65 seat jets is at the limit. Unless SkyWest or someone else pulls a significant number of their jets out, there is no room for --900s, unless flown by United pilots.

The UPA specifically limits the number of 70 seat and 76 seat hulls. Being that those numbers are maxed out, the only way 900’s can be added to UAX is if an aircraft in the same seating same category is removed on a one for one basis.

and nobody will pull a 175 to replace it with a 900.
