Default Timeline For MEC Recall

I haven't been following all of the LEC recalls, but it would seem to me that at least for all of those LECs who had interim reps at this point that there would have been some recall resolutions floored for the MEC Chairman, etc. Anyone who has been watching closely have an idea of what a realistic timeline is to expect some results on that front?

Well, go to a local meeting. If you want the MEC chair recalled, floor a resolution to direct your LEC to recall the Master chairman.

LAX elected interim reps from the dark side (support recalled reps) and DEN & EWR elected good interim reps. IAH Recall LC meeting this week.

Right now EWR, IAD, ORD & DEN have the roll call but not 2/3 of the MEC. King Insler changed policy manual requiring 2/3 to recall committee members but they only need 50% plus one to recall MEC Officers. Hopefully EWR, DEN, LAX eject appropriate permanent reps and the recall goes through in IAH.

Thanks that’s what I was looking for.

Well, to have an idea, to know how long, you have to know the process....

IMO, no officer or other committee recalls should ever occur without a full MEC composed of PERMANENT reps, not interim ones. Interim reps are chosen by the few pilots who can make a LC meeting. Permanent reps are chosen by a vote of all council pilots whether they choose to participate or not. Then they own the recall and replacement choices as the sitting reps.

So, you want to change the definition of a quorum. Sounds like a resolution is in order.
