I did. The work rules and pay are much better.
It's actually exactly the opposite. There are a few benefits left at this job that remain in spite of the unions, not because of them.

I don't understand why everyone jumps to blame ALPA? They blame the union every time because of the "pot" or the "pie", but never condemns the company for changing that same pool of money once a company has offered gains past their pitiful offer? They always praise the company when things their way, and jump at the opportunity to condemn the uniom when they don't? There was no pie, and the company continues to take advantage of our lack of unity.
Just seems like really effective union busting to me. Sure, there are inefficiencies and people that shouldn't be in important positions, but blamimg the union for the company's shortcomings only works to break our solidarity and our resolve.

It is but he also used words like rich, and phrases like pass through. I think he is very intentional here …and I’m sort of thinking out loud here, never a good thing.
He is a smart guy. He is subtly pushing the idea, via word usage, that pilots are a bunch of rich folk whose further increase in pay will be felt by the consumer. That is detrimental to public support of the union.
If SK was really the consistent good guy his prior words made him sound to be, his word choice would have been different. Just a thought.
So-how much does SK and corporate folks earn annually? Anyone know this?

I could buy the defense of ALPA if not for these 2 questions:
Why did we all get shut out of the process for nearly 4 years? They didnt poll anyone then. How can anyone claim they speak for you when they don't even care to ask what you want? They didn't give us anything more than a vague heat map. We had NO idea what was being negotiated on our behalf until they dropped the TA on us.
Why did we not move the ball forward with the self help process? No mediation, no picketing, no nothing. Delta opened after us and got their AIP in large part from the mediation process, based off what I've seen. They even had a strike Auth vote. Meanwhile we're just sitting on our butts at square 1 for 4 years.
I can give the benefit of the doubt if not for these two issues.

This is an old game. It’s why every time we talk about a minimum wage hike people start crying about how “A hamburger’s going to cost $20!” Never mind the price of that hamburger has been steadily climbing for years while the wage of the guy making it has remained stagnant. Airfare has been consistently climbing with inflation, which means the $$$ is there for our wages to keep pace & not cause any shock to the system. But somehow us getting a raise proportional to how the market has already adjusted is going to cause pain for the general public? News flash: they’re already paying for our raise- we’re just not getting it.

Pilots: You never survey us, how do you know what we want?!?
Also Pilots: What’s with all these surveys?!?
Also Pilots: We want quality of life improvements!
Also Pilots: What do you mean I can't work over my new, extra week of vacation?!?
Imagine trying to be a rep and please that kind of disfunction.

I told them twice already: 30%, 5%, 5%, 5% and 3% in perpetuity with full retro, no concessions, better reserve rules, and a few other things. And now after Delta's AIP with average 19% and some work rule improvements they've pulled their offer. Just WTF, over. How was their offer worse than what Delta actually got when two surveys told them to ask for more? Maybe I'm the weirdo. Maybe I'm the only one who told them I want to get paid, want to fix a few things, and don't want concessions. If that's the case, fine. But I have a hunch I'm not the only one. I suspect a good 80% or more of us told them what we want, and it was more than what's in Delta's AIP right now. Our NC doesn't listen. They didn't have surveys before because they don't want to listen. Now they only take surveys to keep up appearances and just toss the results. Obviously. What was their offer? 15% in exchange for some "minor" concessions and weak retro? I'm sure it was half of what they were told to ask for by 80% of us. And that's the problem with surveys.
