Yes, I expect to be forced out myself on disability for medical reasons and would like nothing better than to see LTD improvements, but I am not a one issue voter and would examine any offer based on it's entirety. I am especially keen to see some QOL gains clawing back minor issues we gave up in bankruptcy. Items that will be of benefit to those with decades left especially reserve rules and the like.

Hope you’re not out for long with a speedy recovery. We are both 777 CA’s and we get shafted by our LTD. I’ve been in touch with several reps and they will give direction to NC next week to significantly improve LTD. Even JetBlue and Spirit have better LTD than United, unacceptable.

Maybe this is why SK has been hiring senseless numbers of pilots for the last several years. If he figures he keeps 75% of the way too many he's hired then he doesn't have to care about the contract.

Hiring is more likely attributed to regionals falling apart.

I think we will see something from management in short order after delta ratifies this, probably around February

Doubtful, If anything they will say they are aware of it. They will wait for it to become a TA and probably voted upon

The company was pretty smart to give that 5% raise early. It was smart of ALPA to accept it early too. Otherwise we might have negotiated Delta rates without it and then gotten the 5% raise on top, something so unaffordable it would sink the company.

I am just shaking my head…. It seems like 90+% on here are so focused on pay rates. That is how dumb decisions happen!!! Take the shiny object, and not see the forest through the trees.

Pay rates are important, but not as important as work rules!!! I will gladly sacrifice pay rates for significant advances in Sections 5 & 20. Obviously zero concessions regarding scope!!! To me R & I is more important than pay rates!!!
