The 787 isn’t a 777! Doesn’t ride as well especially in turbulence and it’s smaller airplane. But at least the 777-300 is relatively new and has lots of years left vs 777-200’s.
What about more 777-300’s production line still open and I’m sure we could negotiate favorable prices?

JHC I hope we negotiate with Boeing and Airbus better than our turdbird union negotiators...if it was our incompetent NC it would be something like "how much for a 787? Oh 100 mill each...hmmm well in that case how about 150 mill a copy for 100?"

A firm order for 50-60 787’s plus some sort of symbolic commitment to be a launch customer for the 797 (convertible to more 787’s if they never commit to designing a 797)

You mean the 797/MOM airplane that Boeing recently said they’re absolutely not going to consider until the 2030’s?
Great plan.

Well, BOD meeting has come and gone. No announcement.
Hopefully they were more concerned about what they saw out their window and walking into the lobby, then an aircraft order.
Fix your house before thinking about expanding & upgrades!
