I think we are getting 150 or so jets next year. Say we add 30 more red eyes, all to hubs that are already full but somehow they stagger the arrivals and make it fit. What about the other 120 jets and crews for them?
Where do those 120 jets get parked if not at new destinations and serving new hubs? I think we are about to go on the offensive domestically...

And that is probably the plan should we get into a bigger recession. However, I doubt that is the primary plan and it still doesn't answer the simple logistical problem...

they are not planning on retiring any Airbus in 2023 unless they find an airframe issue like the recently retired 767. Eventually yes but then again the first 737-700/800’s are hitting the 25 years old mark and many don’t have the refreshed first class cabin yet so could be candidates for retirement too in the near future.
