Just a quick glance at his/her post history and it seems like her/she just came from Commuteair, so still on probation and full of salty comments for everyone.
I could very well say the same about you being fun on a 4-day trip, but it doesn't bother me because I only fly 3-day trips that are commutable on both ends. Have fun making everyone around you miserable.
I normally don't feed the troll, but this is a special kind of stupid that doesn't come around very often.
Listen here squirt, when people who have been in this industry and this airline longer than you give helpful advice, try not to be a taint about it.

The parameters and utilization of PBS differs for each airline.
We force it to solve for every last flight hour while other airlines such as DAL will allow a “relaxed” solution that allows for some leftover open time.
The number of iterations goes up exponentially and takes much longer if you solve for every flight hour. It also creates more solution constraints failures and violates seniority to create an overall “global” solution.
it may be allowed in our contract but honestly in this day and age we should have results within hours not days after the closing of the bids.

Umm, you should probably apply at different company. It’s in the contract. Don’t expect it to change. Whining like a 2 yr old on an anonymous message board isn’t going to fix it either.

Idiotic post, but sadly commonplace since we’ve opened the floodgates wrt hiring. Those of us with a scintilla of respect for our fellow pilots actually tried to learn from those who came before us. In other words “been there , done that”.

Those constraints could be solved with FO schedules first. The only real reason is that the commodore will blow up if you don't (and of course it's just specified that way in the UPA)
