So, to me it seems that the devil is in the details. Are we going to have a 20% DOS that goes 1+ years retro, or more likely will they say that 2021 and 22 were each 5% raise and 2023 is 10% (including the LoA raise).

I think the company is going to go for sticker shock, that will be underwhelming upon further inspection. I don’t know if flight ops management is correctly portraying line-pilot sentiment to Toby, SK, et al.
I wouldn’t be upset at a metered retro-pay framework. The numbers matter, of course, but if it generally followed the trend of growing inflation from then until now, I would consider that reasonable.

1. All the TUMI TA heartaches will be gone.
2. They’ll throw in a few - but MINOR - work rule improvements.
3. Pay raise of 15/4/4
4. Sick leave will either be 7 hours/month or untouched.
5. Vacation/training pay 5 hours beginning sometime next year.

I’ll be selling lottery predictions tomorrow.

18/5/5 - Let’s hope the company is going for sticker shock.

I’m not advocating for such a TA, simply reading my crystal ball. I’m a greedy pilot and there is NO WAY I would vote yes on such a TA. I agree that the company is going to try to woooooooooooo us with sticker shock pay rates, but upon further investigation we would realize they just moved the deck chairs around and stole from other parts of the contract. Where is Jeff Brown when you need him!!!

Yes, an excellent briefing making the rounds by email. Maybe someone else posts it, the content probably shouldn’t be public.

We need to start working on getting released ASAP... we are never going to get anything worth voting yes for without the threat of a strike. I can wait 2-3 years and play the long game...

The road to TA2? It’ll be on the coattails of what Delta does. United made it clear we won’t lead anything useful for labor agreements. Sounds like Delta may be closing in on something though.

The NC worked for years and came up with the Tumi TA. Now recalls are rightfully happening but we’re gonna end up starting over unless we want 2.0. We need a completely fresh look at the UPA.

Reserve sucks massively…unlimited SC conversions and the only major with hot reserve/FSB.
LTD sucks.
Vacation value sucks
Sick accrual sucks.
PRAP overages need to be in the paycheck.

It’s not gonna be quick unfortunately so getting released now when our (ALPA) house isn’t in order seems premature.
