Back in 2008, the UAL pilots were slapped with an injunction due, in part, to comments made on various web forums (not APC in particular, but you get my point). It lasted 4 years, IIRC.

https://crewroom.alpa.org/ual/Deskto...cumentID=44168

p. 4, paragraph 3
P. 44, paragraph 2
P. 50, last paragraph
p. 56, paragraphs 3 & 4
p. 57 paragraph 1
and so on.

Nice, thank you. Freedom of expression can get expensive. Not hard to see jeopardy for an online intermediary whose posting dialog mirrors work to rule action too exactly.

The jeopardy isn’t for the intermediary (APC), it’s for the UAL pilot group. I’m sure APC gets paid as revenue no matter what you post.

The claim against UA pilots business agent (ALPA committee) in the filing attached was undeniably strong. In the present set of circumstances, said business agent contacted forum management in effort to shield themselves from any wildcat strategy trash talking here. However ridiculous. Hosting discussion of questionable or blatantly illegal moves to pressure NMB parties can't go unnoticed by intermediaries without some exposure to damage petition risk.

You seem to have it figured out (but in a way that sounds like gibberish).

"It is against the APC Forum Rules to advocate any labor action which is not authorized by the RLA/NMB. This applies to ANY wildcat actions, including slowdown, work-to-rules, withdrawal of enthusiasm (WOE), sickouts, etc. It is irrelevant whether the union itself has anything to do with the action…enforcement will now result in a 30 day ban from APC for violations." Was the ESOP gibberish? The pension meltdown?

Straight talk for Thor, god of thunder. Stomp the gas pedal instead of your crank. Get a deal inked & signed. Tick, tock.

You copy and paste the forum rules, then ask if the ESOP was gibberish. Huh?

Do you communicate like this in person? It must be fascinating.
