Default 1985 Strike Advertisement - Garry and Wendy

The following verbiage is the EXACT advertisement United Airlines took out in newspapers to recruit pilots with a strike looming & imminent. Two inexperienced 24 year olds named Garry and Wendy responded to this EXACT advertisement and jumped over thousands of honorable pilots for their personal gain. Ode To A Scab "After God had finished the rattlesnake, the toad, and the vampire, He had some awful substance left with which He made a scab." read on.........

To quote the advertisement:

"Should a strike occur, those employed will be permanent replacements for striking Pilots Interested Pilots are invited to write for an application."

Neither of these bozos will address this. Ask them about it! They'll squirm. SCABS. COWARDS. CON ARTISTS.read the advertisement.......

GK or any of his sycophants - a hard no as in double **** no. Organ donor not, the guy is a loose cannon with an ax to grind. Attempting to present him as a renaissance man crossed with Mother Teresa doesn’t speak to why after over 35 years as a United pilot with lots and lots of ALPA experience he has never been the MC. Why is that?

Not GK who was pre-hired in 1984 or almost any of the 570 who were pre-hired through FAPA and trained months before the strike.

There were no such ads until days before the strike. But just so we get the dates and verbiage correct please post a photo of the ad instead of your altered? transcription of it.

But hey, nice try Todd.

Dopey JL,

Please explain to all of our new hires and uninformed:

Is accepting a job at United, knowing full well United pilots were going on strike acceptable to you Dopey JL? Y/N?

Are you missing anyone? You only mention GK. Who else Dopey JL? Who else accepted a job at United knowing the pilots were going on strike?

You want a picture? Check out the display in LAX operations for the ad. Everyone can go visit the picture in the ALPA display. Then check recheck the post. Identical. But I'm sure you'll think it's fake. It's all made up. It's totally normal for 23-year-olds with a couple hundred hours to get hired by United Airlines. No way they skipped thousands and thousands of pilots by accepting a job while United pilots were going on strike.

Love your use of cognitive dissonance. How appropriate.

Dopey JL. Define cognitive dissonance. Enlighten us

JL's glasses fogging up. Better call your troops to get out in front of this. Be careful. You have moles in your group. Yes you do.

There was no talk of a strike until well after GK and most 570 were pre-hired. And the simple fact of the matter is that GK and all but four 570 honored the picket line and were a huge factor in 'winning' the strike. For someone to say otherwise is as low as a so-called union member can go. Standard Toddler MO.

Great fourth post in four years though. The other two were just before the last BOD, but I am sure that is a mere coincidence.

Dopey JL,

Fifth post.

I'll blow posts 6-100 and the next three BODs on waiting for you to answer the question if that's what it takes. Please take a screen shot and repost this one also:

-------->>>>>> Is accepting a job at United, knowing its pilots were going on strike acceptable to you Dopey JL? <<<<<<----------

Does anyone know why Dopey JL doesn't want to answer the question? Strange.

Nobody knew there was going to be a strike until the night before it and thankfully Garry and 564 other 570 honored the picket line. Better luck with your sixth post Todd(ler).

BTW do you still love how your plan came together?
