We aren’t cohesive as a group. FedEx has been in contact negotiations far less time than we have and they aren’t picking up open time because of negotiations. Ask your friends. Conversely, PP works so well here that SK himself is talking about how it’s at 20% of the trips covered and he wants to reduce it.

So from some who have posted, United pilots are robbers, rapists, child molesters, pimps, sociopaths and stalkers. They quickly go nuclear running the risks of losing their career. They haven’t a clue what they are doing and thereby burden the PDR folks who are essentially carrying the donkeys up the hill. Oh yeah, why waste time when we have an industry leading contract to achieve? You can easily get the info off the PBS awards if not dozens of other ways.(which by the way if one does not quickly change their trips, the aforementioned pilots will quickly have knowledge of your whereabouts). Pilots are just conspiracy theorists when there really isn’t a problem.

To think I just wanted access to the Schedule History (could care less about the calendar) which has all the transparency needed. Time, code, date, scheduler or method, and trip. One only needs to make a polite and professional call to the a crew desk supervisor and or file a PDR with the information acquired from the Schedule History.

It never happens they say. It’s happened to me twice written recent memory. In both cases it wasn’t the fault of the pilot. Transparency not only assists in the errors being corrected but provides for a system that abides by the contract.

I never even knew this was an issue.

Given the entitled, angry and insulting screeds I just read, I’ve gone into CCS and opted out.

My schedule is none of your damn business.

Flight Qualified Managers, LCAs, IE’s and the nice support folks that work at your base all have access to your schedule and calendar.

Those are the only folks I could imagine having a valid reason to have access to your information.

The fact that they can get into disciplinary trouble for using that access for anything other than official business should tell you all you need to know about your imagined rights or needs to stuff that doesn’t concern you.

Don’t like it? Negotiate a change.

Actually, the United system is far more informative and transparent than Delta’s; as per debates at ALPA BoD. That particular function, Pilot;s Master Schedule, is pretty much useless for trip tracking. Only useful to spy and nefarious purposes. Unblocking only provides a method of prying and schedule voyeurism.

As mentioned you can’t block your schedule at Delta. Without the ability to view other pilots schedules it can be difficult to verify if a trip award was properly made both for reserve and line holders. This went to arbitration and he ruled in favor of the unions efforts to keep schedules unblocked for the above reason.

I don’t think the Delta pilots on this thread understand. The issue is whether you can block one particular page called a “master schedule”. If one elects to block said master, it does not remove that Pilot’s footprint from any other, more useful, page; only that one page. In short, the master schedule is very elementary when one considers the other plethora of information that United Pilots have at their fingertips.

We have had very involved discussion about the blocking issue at BoD. While Delta’s schedule provides more info than U item’s master schedule, United has a lot more sources, and many more electronic vehicles to track trips and assure transparency.

IMHO, the United master schedule is the weakest tool in the draw when it comes down to transparency. It’s simply voyeurism. So much more information is available through our system. And as stated, it’s only that one page. Blocking will not remove a Pilot from any of the other more robust methods of assuring transparency.

Just to be clear we AREN’T talking about the Master Schedule. Never let the facts get interjected with the voyeuristic argument you insist on making and the extent you and others will go to vilify this pilot group.
