Strike committee
Are we getting the Strike Committee organized and mobilized?
We should have a full court press right now at the Earnings Meeting, BOD meeting.
I just pulled this headline from Reuters News:
Where is the Strike Committee! Time for Action!

United Airlines sees 2nd quarter profit, record revenue on booming travel demand
if we're getting record revenue, then the proposed TA should be "record breaking."Where is the Strike Committee! Time for Action!

Go to alpa.org.
Go to committees
Go to Strategic Preparedness and Strike Committee
Note that it's staffed. And they've got recent messages from the committee.
So that box is checked.
Let's concentrate on voting NO first, then remove and replace. We really can't move forward before remove and replace.

Second thing is that I hope that the MEC doesn’t withdraw the TA. That would be a self preservation tactic because they ‘could’ argue for their retention in their current positions. However, if this TA flame out hard, then they know that they’re on borrowed time. It must easier (IMHO) to make a case for their recalls if this TA goes down hard. The case could easily be made that they’re out of touch with their constituents.
I also believe that there is some jeopardy in regard to pulling the TA. The NMB could frown upon it and if things progress to mediation, that wouldn’t be a good thing!?!? The MEC could proffer to reopen negotiations with the Company also.
Hopefully, if that happens the MEC would re-poll the members to update the four year ago poll???
