Negotiators take direction from the MEC. They come back time and again to ask where the MEC wants them to go, focus, get, etc. As they were getting closer to an AIP, you don’t think the NC was updating the MEC? They took direction, brought back an offer based on that direction and then let the MEC decide.

Is this Kirby vs. Isom and we are all pawns? The last offer by AA was $65 million/yr not including 4% 3% pay raises. Now they offer 1 billion/ yr improvements. Hey Delta get in the game. Please up the ante for all of us.

NOT buying our MEC and NC a cold one. F em! They were so ready to throw us under the bus. Just for the convenience and expediency of getting a deal done. Even if it was the wrong/bad deal.

This dreck was going down with membership faster than the Titanic into the north Atlantic. The MEC Chairman got caught trying to pull a strategy session with his peeps pushing the aforementioned dreck. This is a PR disaster for ALPA with the membership. They needed something to break the negative news cycle. This American deal is the perfect out. The only question is, will they go through the process and announce the results or just quietly recall the TA and go back to the drawing board?
If it's announced, I predict 72-28 against.

This is not normal.
There's an old joke about airline contracts that goes "We can have a contract tomorrow, as long as we give the company everything they want." I don't know anyone who thought we'd see seeing a TA within the next year, especially old, tired, cynical people who have been through multiple contracts like myself.
Don't slack off, keep the NO votes coming!!!

Wow! I don’t know if it was intentional or not, but they just saved Kirby from having to talk about his pilot group rejecting a contract 4 days before his investor call on 7/19. They just threw away a lot of leverage. Who’s side are they on?
