Default Hired after ISL Sept 2013.

You pilots hired after this date better start taking over UALPA or you are gonna see a sh!t career here compared to your peers at other carriers. To think that 4000 pilots at this airline have never been polled for the contract of our careers is unbelievable.

I think we all better start acting like union Pilots. Let’s stop the division, we are all United Pilots.

I’m pretty sure that’s his point. He is saying the post-merger hires haven’t been polled, thereby having no voice. This is through no fault of their own.

He is advocating a certain group of pilots take over the Union. It is literally what he said.

I agree that’s what he said. I don’t think that’s what he actually wants. But I digress. Let’s all just agree on one thing……vote NO!

Anyone know what the breakdown is of the current MEC? Legacy airline, post-merger?

When 4000 pilots were not ever polled to see their desires in a new T/A something has to change. And more in that demographic within our ranks needs to run for NC and other things. I said what I said. You are correct.

The crux of the problem is that our union hasn't worked on the line for a very long time. We should do them a huge favor and get them back on the line so they can understand their failures in this TA.
Resign. If they don't resign, recall. Period.

But Stuttering Brad said they followed 12 reserve pilots in ORD to work out these reserve rules/gains. Such a large survey group out of 12,000🙄

No, he said they took their schedules and ran some scenarios. He never claimed to talk to a single reserve.

I'm Y2K LUAL hire so that means most of my career has been on reserve. I've learned how to play a LOT of reserve games, and I've watched crew schedulers counter reserve pilots' games.
If anyone thinks that a reserve being on the hook for more hours at the front of every work block will 'fix' schedulers' reserve games, then they haven't been on reserve for a very long time, if ever.
There are sooo many different levers that schedulers can pull to get their desired outcome. This TA may close a couple of those levers, but not enough to make a difference.
