We’ll folks, it appears that your MC Hamilton called a secret meeting of the MEC officers, but only for the YES voters and other “friends of the TA.”

What was the purpose of this meeting? To discus how to TURN THE TIDE OF NEGATIVE SENTIMENT TOWARDS THE TA, AS WELL AS ADDRESS THE C11 CHAIRMAN’S LETTER REVERSING HIS VOTE.

Apparently, he FOOKED UP and also sent details to one of the NO voters. When asked why the other NO voters were NOT INVITED, he quickly changed his tune and invited everyone on the MEC.

Because it was going to be about the strategy of how to turn the negative tide of NO sentiment, WITH THE NO VOTERS NOW THERE, the meeting lasted ONLY 15 MINS until A NO voter raised their hand to ask what was going on and THE ZOOM WINDOWS WENT BLANK AND THE MEETING ENDED.

THIS IS COWARDICE.

I admit going into this I was a bit naive, but this stuff is starting to make my skin crawl. The continuation of such hubris in the face of overwhelming negative sentiment staggers the mind. It's truly a sad day for ALPA.

I'll be honest here. You yell and scream about things when you're dead wrong...just like the few things when you're right. You have a narrative and make up **** to fit. You were flat out wrong about claims you made (in all caps BTW) about the C11 Captain rep. Now when you, Chicken Little, make claims like this post I take you with a huge grain of salt.

You've made your points, and the TA sucks and will surely be rejected. How about toning yourself down. If that's even possible.

I agree. When someone posts false information, it makes me assume their other posts are false too. I think a better way to convince people of your position is with a well thought out, factual statement. It’s not like there aren’t plenty of factual reasons to vote down this TA - there is no reason to make stuff up.

How about NO! How about we turn the dial up. It is apparent that the MEC and the NC do not represent the pilots or their interests. They are more concerned about furthering their own agenda than the pilots. It is rotten from the top down. They need to go. How many items from UAL 2018 request did they comply with? When was the last time the pilots were polled? When was the last informational picketing? When was mediation requested?

I say we let these leeches know their time is done. I am tired of my dues being used to hinder my profession. Kirby wants United to be the best. Well United can pay to be the best. It doesn’t mean the pilots will fund it.

Some observations:
1. MEC and NC have "Stockholm Syndrome." They seem very focused on fixing what's ailing management: Junior NB Captains (Manpower)
and Training Center staffing (Manpower). Why are they so focused on helping the adversary? Management doesn't want to pay pilots any more than they have to. It seems like Management has invaded the MEC and NC and are negotiating on management's behalf and leaving the pilots behind....yet again.
2. HaveTom Stivala, Rick Muir, and Jackson Martin been reincarnated and reassigned to the "Elite ALPA Negotiating Team of the legendary UAL ALPA MEC?" The only thing that this team hasn't proposed is giving them 100% control of our schedules....ooops, wrong again. I guess they did that too.
3. We lack pay raises that keep up with inflation.
4. NO B 763 pay rate (wide body).rate.
5. What's up with the boarding date thing?


This TA blows. I could go on, but most who have seen it already know that it is lacking.

They will get recalled, but it's better if they resign. That would save us about 75 to 90 days time. It will be faster to jump start our entire process if they do the right thing and resign. No shame in resigning. Pick the short sword, or the long sword. Bushido is an honorable tradition.

But, hey, if the MEC Chair has only flown about 2500 hours in the last 225 years, I get it. He's just so far disconnected from line pilot issues that he really can't relate. I am sure he's been phoning Insler to ask "what to do now." Phone a friend only works on game shows....
