This is a great question seen on another forum:
UALPA Reps, ALPA Legal, and the MEC Leaders,
The T/A established the fact the excess CAL LTD money can be released. Not sure why it is tied to the T/A. Unless our rightfully owned money is being held hostage to this T/A but here’s a simple question for you all.
Regardless of the outcome of this T/A, I would assume the dispersement of the CAL LTD has been deemed appropriate and legal so therefore if T/A fails those monies will be rightfully dispersed accordingly at some point in the near future and if not why is that? IOW, why is it tied to a contract and not just dispersed if it’s in fact our money to be received back and that’s been approved? If it won’t be refunded on a failed T/A what grounds does ALPA or UALPA or the company have to keep holding our money?
If you can’t provide the answer to this maybe a lawyer can in a DFR lawsuit.

And if it can't be refunded after a failed TA, then it's not their money, and the majority's negotiating capital has been spent on a payday for a select few. If this isn't paid out after the TA fails, the DNR applies to all.

I’m just curious at how much is owed on average to each pilot affected?

My question to the reps is gonna be simple. When was the determination made by ALPA or United legal or a combination of the two that this money could be returned cause if I find out they held our money to tie it up to put into a T/A it might be time to seek legal action. I don’t take kindly to people holding what is mine without asking.
