The very first thing the MEC should do after this gets turned down is resign.

The answer to this question will give you a good idea of what's ahead for us.
According to MH at the LAX meeting, polling the Pilots and re-engaging with the company based on the results of that polling.

Sounds reasonable to me.

Let’s get that ball rolling.

(Ok, maybe with a little different cast of characters.)

So no recall vote then?

If this POS passes I can show up at show time and be taken off my trip for any reason (it’s been moved to step 2 so even before going to a RSV or SRM) and no longer get 125% for abrogating my seniority.

That’s just a single example.
In negotiating literature this is called a BATNA. It should drive the process of making a deal.

When Delta's got voted down, they polled us and decided that profit sharing cut, sick leave, and withholding trips from bid pack were the drivers that cause it to fail. The next TA didn't touch 2 of the 3. Sick leave was changed a little but not nearly as bad as failed TA. FWIW, it took 17 months for new TA but it had full retro to the amendable date of previous contract.

Those scaredy-cats have a contract in hand that’s already a better deal than the pos TA. It’s not like the TA is a little better than the current contract and some people are ok with that because it’s better than what’s in hand. This TA goes backwards. Period. Not everyone is going to feel that way but there’s nothing you can do about them. Most people with any level of critical thinking skills can see it though.

You are absolutely correct in fact I’m betting it passes. I pulled a bid Sat after this. No freakin way am I gonna sit reserve under this. This T/A will cause our divorce rate to go up 10-15% over the next few years.

Many of those scaredy-cats don’t really know what is in our current contract, much less the TA. They’ll read the bullet points and watch the short videos that only mention the improvements and think that the TA is a better deal. Those of us wanting significant improvements are going to be disappointed. Eliminating FSB, providing a pension, and zero concessions are more than the company is willing to pay, and they know that they only need 50% + 1 to get what they want.
