What's the MECs plan if the TA is rejected?

Go back to the line? Oh my. These guys aren’t even close to being current. They just live on the ALPA 94.5 gravy train. Once they get a taste of steak and cake they can’t give it up.

Ah yes. That is also part of the problem then. I’ve witnessed it at previous ALPA carriers. It can be likened to our current government’s out of touch with reality and the general population. Sorry you guys are dealing with it. We’re all watching with fingers crossed for UAL pilots.

I can tell you what happened over at Delta:
When we saw how bad it was in 2015, we started a grass-roots campaign to get the word out on social media to counter the over $1.5M sales job effort from our own union. We literally had an entire committee of guys in black polos (union thugs) intercepting layover crews worldwide to spread the gospel about the TA, and how we would never get a better deal.
The TA failed (thank God), and our MEC Chairman resigned. The rest of the MEC had to be culled through the normal election process. It took us another 9 mos to get a TA, and it was still concessionary in some aspects, but not near as bad as the original.
I can tell you, we, the rest of the ALPA pilots around the country, are praying to God you guys flush this turd hard.
One other thing; All ALPA pilots need to push for a change in the bylaws wrt ALPA National President pay. There is only ONE single pilot in this entire country that will get paid an A380 rate, and that's the next ALPA President.
That's absurd.

I’m sure we’ll be told what’s going to happen if we vote it down. It’ll sound dismal. There’s going to be a strong wiff of fear in the presentation over the next couple weeks. Sorry folks, I’d rather have my dignity than vote for this thing. If you don’t believe me, read what the pilots at other carriers are saying about us. I’m sick and tired of being the laughing stock of the industry. I remember FedEx and UPS pilots literally thanking us for C2000 at United. Today, we just shrug our shoulders and say FedEx and UPS aren’t our peers. Sad.
On the bright side, this TA is so bad it might not pass!🤣😥 It just may be the wake up call we need.

It’s definitely IF it gets voted down. There are lots of people who are afraid to turn it down with the economy potentially heading towards a recession, bird in the hand types, or those with little time left with the company who don’t want to risk having to wait for or miss out on a better deal. APC is the furthest thing from an accurate measure of where the group stands, as are some of the other forums. I really hope this thing gets shot down, but I’m expecting to be disappointed.
