UAL MEC Approves TA

What would it look like if all the majors gathered together for a single giant solidarity picket?
SWAPA just had arguably the largest one in history as WHACKMASTER alluded to.
How about one in DEN where 5 thousand show?
That would be something.

I’m thinking NYC or LAX. You know, where all 3 majors have operations en masse and there’s lots of high profile news media. I don’t think the door smokers in Denver are gonna cafe much.

WeLL EWR Chairman supports it behind closed doors but is very smart and knows Insler needs him to run toward ALPA President so he voted no knowing this would not be popular. Trust me EWR all if EWR has to go.

That is the only logical decision…because it is so bad that guys should choose not to bid. But honestly, based on rumors I thought the reserve rules were going to be so good that guys would want to bid.
I hope that this thing gets voted down huge, but as we all know, the yes voters WILL NOT reveal that EVER. So even though the polls show a 90/10 NO vote I’m betting it’s going to be close and go either way. People vote yes out of fear, all debted up and stressed out.
But this thing needs to go down 90/10 if we want something better. 100/0 would be better. I only have 3 years left but I’d rather ride out the current contract then vote for this turd.

Something like this would be really cool, and I think it would actually attract a pretty big crowd if it was in NYC or LA. The United MEC voted for it though, so who is going to organize that event?

Times are gonna be tougher for them, and (abysmally underpaid as they are) they still have to pay for all of that. Remember, if the mortgage industry crashes that’s a huge chunk income many PIs are gonna lose…..

Listened to that amature video on the Cash balance Plan. What a worthless piece of **** that is. Zero upfront funding from the company and yet United will see massive take breaks for establishing it. It's purely self funded from the B fund contribution. UPS and FEDEX are shaking their heads in disbelief right now. There is no logical way this TA is worth 1.3 billion. I worked the numbers and came up about 800 million short. ALPA our own union is running a con on us.

So you think you can judge how an instructor will vote off of a management parking lot? This contract is crap and as instructor I will vote accordingly.
An instructor would have to be an idiot to vote this in with any further chance of returning to the line.
