This thing is gonna pass and if it does they’ll all be out of TK within 5 years and be flying under this contract on the line. And if they bid a CA slot you can be guaranteed that’s a yes voter. Crazy times…

And this is why reserve can never be fixed. Fixing e.g. extension pay is the larger voting block and costs the company far less, so we throw reserve under the bus for crumbs. Hanging up self interest and looking out for each other is best for us. We'll get the contract we deserve either way.

PI bids have no reflection on their pay now or under the TA, Their bids only impact where they go if they either get fired or voluntarily return to the line. Everyone at TK can hold captain somewhere on the line and right now that is where the money is - especially for commuters.

If anything - lots of SUP bids in Capt slots is telegraphing that PIs are ready to leave.

PI here and hardly licking my chops. Hard no for me, but if it makes you feel better you can blame us all you want. There is roughly 800 Instructors, roughly 6.66% of the vote, I'm sure you can do the math. Most are not in favor. If it does pass, and you would be in their position, are you really telling me you wouldn't bid CA, especially since the new TA includes a freeze for any supplemental bids? Food for thought.

Thank you for your rational vote. Don’t let some chest thumping get to you. This TA was clearly hoping to get you guys on board, some near retirement, and some who just vote yes because the MEC said so in the hopes of getting to 50.1%. I for one appreciate you reading all the details and seeing that this thing hurts just about everyone. Some just get more pay for bending over.
