Yes. The only way thr company can get relief is to REQUIRE us to acknowledge an assignment on a day off. I do t see that changing.

Under the current CBA they can assign you a trip at 6am/7am if they are able to contact you earlier enough to provide FAR rest. The catch is that we don't have to answer the phone or be available for contact until midnight.

Not exactly. 20-K-7-(b)(c). 20-K-7-e “He must acknowledge any assignment entered before 1800 by 2359 on his last day off”. PDR said “yep, you’re on the hook for that 0900 departure “.

Further proof that falling for any “oh the company won’t use that provision in the future” BS lines should be met with heightened cynicism.

Current snapshot shows over 40 unfilled Captain bids. Not including the 100+ unfilled WB FO bids, with over 700 total unfilled. Best part is this isn’t even a large bid. Bids in the fall will be much larger.

Anyone venture to guess if the news of the TA being released will actually cause any more of these to fill up? I can’t imagine anyone would bid reserve guppy Captain and then hope that the TA passes. Because if it doesn’t pass they are screwed.

Thoughts?

All TAs usually pass. The old guys aren’t wrong about that.

whats the urgency to bid it now? Large vacancy announced for August. Will there be no NB CA slots on either coast? What’s the harm in waiting it out two months?

where would one find this large vacancy announcement for August? This one isn’t even closed yet.
