This is what I expected and I believe it will pass. Big positives are what we asked for (Much better reserve rules, pay increases for LCA and PI).
The increased training pay came out of nowhere, but it’s great to see.
Pay rates were already leaked, so we knew what to expect there.
Retirement is staying at 16%. I’ve been saying that for years. Anyone who thought that would increase this contract was setting themselves up to be disappointed. The retirement dollar amount we get will increase thanks to the pay raises
PSC is going away. We knew that as well. Anyone who thought that would stay long term was setting themselves up to be disappointed.
We get a signing bonus. That’s typical. Full retro never happens, and anyone who thought we would get that was setting themselves up to be disappointed.
I will have to see the scope language. My big thing on scope is I don’t want RJ’s replacing our current flying. However, if some scope increase is tied to future growth, that’s ok. We need to feed the hubs. If some small town can’t support a 320/737, then I’d rather capture those pax via an RJ, rather than not have service. 50 seat RJ’s are going away eventually, so a slight increase in 76 seaters tied to mainline growth is reasonable. Let’s increase our passenger base so we can fly more people and get more profit sharing.
I’m a little concerned by the people saying I’m not an LCA or PI, therefore they shouldn’t get a raise. This AIP will significantly help the operation, which will increase our profit sharing, and our commuting and non-reving experience. So yes, we all get something out of the LCA’s and PI’s getting a raise.
Like anything, let’s wait until we see the final details to make up our mind, but I would be leaning towards a YES vote with these details.

Holy crap, I really hope you're the minority here because this latest leak is an absolute turd. If its true, I for one will be lobbying hard for not only a NO vote but a recall of the negotiating committee.

06/09 confirmed leak
Below from a buddy having a beer with someone “in the room”
-4 year contract with early opener clause
-5% DOS plus retro to 01/2022
-4% and 4% year 2 and 3
-401(k) 17% DOS, 19% year 2, additional hybrid model down the line
-No changes to section 1 other than including additional protections for “alter ego”
-company paid healthcare with option for additional paid coverage
-Significant improvements for instructors and LCAs (no cap, PSC)
-Partial PSC for line pilots
-Significant reserve rule improvements (No FSB conversion, ADD pay for all SC)
-If you read the above and think it’s true, you’re wrong. I completely fabricated it (and some is nonsensical) to prove a point: just because there is a “screen shot” doesn’t mean it’s true - it’s the internet. Be patient and wait for the entire language to be released, or at the very least the bullet points.

Not a FedEx guy, but I believe they get 6hrs of pay a day for vacation. As far as training pay, if we got paid for work days (20 in your example X 6 = 120) and per diem for the rest, it would be quite reasonable. Also when you went back for LOE/MV, you wouldn’t lose money compared to a normal line pilot.
That's not how we get paid. The 3.0 for training is every day, even off days for the footprint. So we get paid 90 hours for a month of transition or upgrade training. 6 hours per day would be 180 hours!! That's not realistic.
Now changing the 'less than 5 days training' from 3.75 to 5 would be muy bueno and realistic. agreed.
Current vacation we get paid 3.25 per day, but you also get 2.33 per available day for lineholders and 4.05 per reserve day for reserves. That means lineholders get paid 82.8/mo minimum for 2 weeks vacation. Reserves get 86/mo minimum for 2 weeks vacation. Change the vacation day to 6 hours: lineholders get 121.3 credit for 2 weeks vacation, reserves get 124.5 credit for 2 weeks vacation. That's whack, and why it's not going to happen.

meh…I live in base, so it’s really not hurting my feelings. I just don’t really understand the mentality of voting AGAINST a QOL increase just because I don’t benefit. Funny thing is….most of the guys who support that mentality, are the same guys who preach about being a “unionist”. Looking out for Number One, while also talking out both sides of their mouths.

I don’t really GAF about pass travel. To me, it’s nearly worthless. I’d trade it in a second for a HEFTY UA discount. In my view….the PSC doesn’t affect me in any way. I guess you’re also married to a FA. Got it.
