meh…I live in base, so it’s really not hurting my feelings. I just don’t really understand the mentality of voting AGAINST a QOL increase just because I don’t benefit. Funny thing is….most of the guys who support that mentality, are the same guys who preach about being a “unionist”. Looking out for Number One, while also talking out both sides of their mouths.

I find this hilarious….the new AIP rumor is dismal and now the first leak looks way better. Is a political campaign manager running these propaganda pieces? I’ll wait to see what the MEC actually votes yes on, then I’ll decide if it’s a yes or no from me. If the MEC sends something so dismal, maybe they need to be recalled

Not a FedEx guy, but I believe they get 6hrs of pay a day for vacation. As far as training pay, if we got paid for work days (20 in your example X 6 = 120) and per diem for the rest, it would be quite reasonable. Also when you went back for LOE/MV, you wouldn’t lose money compared to a normal line pilot.

Where is Deltas TA? Oh yah thats more than a year away with a recession looming and your scope being negotiated outside section 6 (no intention of finishing a contract.)
In all honesty it doesn't matter what is in it unless there are significant gives. If it gets past the MEC it is going to pass. The % of people who retire within 5 yrs, are in the training department, and the cheap airline pilot who sees a $x raise are more than the 50% required to pass it.

12450 eligible voters
1800 management/TK yes votes
53% yes votes with 47% No votes
MEC yes votes 16 to 3 No votes
Guessing obviously

I'm hoping that this rumor is not accurate and our union is negotiating some tax free benefits as well a reduction to the amount of expenses that are deducted from our paychecks. What good is a 4% raise when it disappears to one of the several different deductions taken from our paycheck every month?
