since he quotes the rumor as saying pilots can pay their premiums from the HRA in the new contract, I’d say he or whoever is feeding him this junk is obviously just trying to rile people up. Pilots can already do that so I’d say all his rumors have no actual insight.

6 hours for vacation is 42 hours for a week. 84 hours for 2 weeks. Or 168 hours for 4 weeks/a month of vacation. $$$$$$ SIGN ME UP!! lol
Same for training. 6 hours means 180 hours credit for a month of transition or upgrade?? WOWZA. yeaaaah. that'd be great

Agreed. But keep in mind that “leaks” almost always come from the people trying to tank the deal and only relay the less than desirable, even if true.
In this case they are successful, because this leak isn’t something we should vote yes on.
I suspect the more desirable stuff will be included in the pro statement, if it gets past the MEC….it will.
Reserving judgment until it read it and the pro/con statements

I'll bet that this is just some sort of narrative shaping plan by the con sidconthey tried the '3 bullet' rumor to feed the '< than inflation' and 'unfair I/E carveout' fires...but they petered out. Now they are trying some new fuel. Neither rumor honestly makes sense to me. I'm sure bits and pieces are true, but way out of context.
I have high expectations and will be ready to call it a turd - IF IT IS ONE. My sefault position is NO and the TA has to convince me to vote YES. I'll only know after the TA Is released.

This is what I expected and I believe it will pass. Big positives are what we asked for (Much better reserve rules, pay increases for LCA and PI).
The increased training pay came out of nowhere, but it’s great to see.
Pay rates were already leaked, so we knew what to expect there.
Retirement is staying at 16%. I’ve been saying that for years. Anyone who thought that would increase this contract was setting themselves up to be disappointed. The retirement dollar amount we get will increase thanks to the pay raises
PSC is going away. We knew that as well. Anyone who thought that would stay long term was setting themselves up to be disappointed.
We get a signing bonus. That’s typical. Full retro never happens, and anyone who thought we would get that was setting themselves up to be disappointed.
I will have to see the scope language. My big thing on scope is I don’t want RJ’s replacing our current flying. However, if some scope increase is tied to future growth, that’s ok. We need to feed the hubs. If some small town can’t support a 320/737, then I’d rather capture those pax via an RJ, rather than not have service. 50 seat RJ’s are going away eventually, so a slight increase in 76 seaters tied to mainline growth is reasonable. Let’s increase our passenger base so we can fly more people and get more profit sharing.
I’m a little concerned by the people saying I’m not an LCA or PI, therefore they shouldn’t get a raise. This AIP will significantly help the operation, which will increase our profit sharing, and our commuting and non-reving experience. So yes, we all get something out of the LCA’s and PI’s getting a raise.
Like anything, let’s wait until we see the final details to make up our mind, but I would be leaning towards a YES vote with these details.

Anybody know off the top of your head if you can vote while on LTD (medical leave)? I couldn’t vote on the last contract because I was furloughed, so I’d like to get a vote on this one since I’ll probably 🤞 be back next year.
