I'm not trying to say that the UALMEC doesn't have blame, but remember that almost all of this TA was negotiated before the pandemic. So I'm kind of following what (I Believe) Andy posted a while ago. Maybe MH wants to start anew? They couldn't suddenly renege on what was previously agreed upon by the prior MEC because that puts you on the wrong side of the NMB if things get to that point. That would be negotiating in bad faith. So, maybe MH is hoping this thing tanks so he can start from scratch based on pilot polling that is not four years old???

Mike Hamilton was previously Insler’s executive administrator. Has has been working for the UAL MEC in one capacity or anther for the for his entire 25 plus year career. Between the MEC, ALPA national (former EVP) and working in the training department his entire
UAL career he has less then 2,000 hours on the line. He was Insler’s hand-picked successor. He knew everything about what went on during this entire contract negotiation cycle. No excuses for him
Also it’s ALPA policy that the Master Chairman is a defacto member of the negotiating committee. Mike’s been in the position since Jan when a lot of this (the stuff we all dislike) was horse traded to get a TA. His DNA is all over this TA.
If we can send this TA down in flames, time to clean house with our MEC, no free passes!

With APA TA ZERO reason to vote yes.
We will see the APA deal soon but no way it's worse than the UAL TA. DAL will get a deal soon and that will be the benchmark. Without a generous retirement improvement they should all get **** canned .

Stop being your own echo chamber! We get 16%. That’s more than any doctor, lawyer, engineer, or investment banker that I know. It’s good. When we negotiate for improvements, let’s make it to things we can enjoy the benefit from now! We don’t need more retirement contributions.
If you keep talking about retirement increases, you’re just setting yourself up to be disappointed. United did not get any retirement increases in our TA and American did not get any retirement increases in their offer. It’s not going to happen.
Pensions are dead. If you can’t retire on 16% of a 300k+ a year job, you might have a problem.
