Don't need to see it. The math is simple ,without a pension NO big three contract will even come close to FEDEX or UPS. ALPA passed on that long ago. This AIP needs to be scraped right now given the gains at the regional carriers. GET BACK TO THE NEGOTIATING TABLE and ALPA needs to stop talking about NO shortage of pilots.

I don’t want a pension. Pensions get stolen from you. 401(k)’s don’t (at least so far).

There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.

There are many options that would keep a "pension like" plan safe from creditors. There are annuity plans that do it. That's the problem with pilots they constantly live in the past and not the present. Not all DB plans are the same and the negotiating committee said a MBCBP was on the table. Those plans are 100% safe from creditors. Keep being satisfied with that 401K the company is counting on you.

Absolutely. It’s a dated concept that the boomer types grew up with and can’t seem to let it go. I don’t blame them but those days are long gone.

No one is expecting a traditional pension. Think a different vehicle where our retirement dollars can accumulate in a beneficial manner. A good use of negotiating capital.
