Default New iPads- and they want their charger back

Just got a ccs message about scheduling an appointment for new iPads. The message also insists on the return of the 12w charger and cable. I wonder how strict they will be on this as those items seem to be “consumables”. Over the years I have paid for many out of my own pocket. Just throwing it out there.

It’s not like you’re going to use it, the new ones use a different cable and charger. I’d be surprised if they care.

Have you really?

My first cable died and I just walked up to building F and they gave me a new one without even asking a question. Granted not everyone can do that

Same thing at Dulles Ops - just gave me a new cable. I’ve never had the actual charger block go bad before.

why are you buying things with your own money that the company is required to provide you?

I have gone through a half dozen chargers over the years and the CPO has always replaced it.

If it breaks, you exchange it. If you lose it, you pay. Is this really an advanced concept for you people?

I did the swap and didn’t have to return cables or charger.
