An absolute slap in the face for the 40-50 year old regional CAs who never get looked at. Disrespectful and disgusting, recruiting should be totally ashamed of themselves.
Dont be a Beta bruh 😂

(d) During all flight time as defined in 14 CFR 1.1, no flight crewmember may use, nor may any pilot in command permit the use of, a personal wireless communications device (as defined in 49 U.S.C. 44732(d)) or laptop computer while at a flight crewmember duty station unless the purpose is directly related to operation of the aircraft, or for emergency, safety-related, or employment-related communications, in accordance with air carrier procedures approved by the Administrator.

“wireless communication device”. Don’t assume that everything is filmed by iPhone. There is something like a camera.

Give me the time stamps in Swyane's videos where he is doing that while working at United.

Thanks.

The filming for his videos happen at times and places setup by United- not willy-nilly, on his own, while on trips.

this (which is a lot better than every other pilot influencer out there). I have never flown with him, but I know several captains who have, and they have nothing but positive things to say about him or his flying.

him not producing content during negotiations and walking the walk in ORD last may - that showed us where his allegiance is.

I am happy that Swayne is here and hopefully will
get to fly with him.

like I said a couple years ago, I commend him for his work and production skills. Seems like a good guy whose career timing is impeccable. And yes I'm envious. Maybe it's because I'm old now. Maybe because I got stuck in the regionals for years then furloughed then more regionals. Maybe because with kids at home I'm too damn tired to go exploring on layovers and just want to watch tv in my room after limping back from the gym. Maybe because my phone camera sucks and my laptop can't process a game of solitaire much less high quality vids. Maybe because he's experiencing the job in the way I thought I would be able to when I signed up before the repeated kicks to the nuts.

I applaud him and I think he is a great ambassador for United and the profession. I bet he drives more revenue our way than United’s marketing dept lol.

Same, and I'm not into this whole "influencer"/IG thing, but, whut evessss....

The few I've seen arent anyhwere near "cringe" as the kids say.

My question is, if (when) the industry takes the next downturn, and it's bad enought to drive downgrades/displacemets/furloughs/concessions, will his stuff still be so upbeat/happy?

He has probably set himself up nicely so that if it does, he will be just fine.
