he’s a standard one each Captain on reserve… he might voluntarily be posting these with management’s approval… don’t think he’s being paid. Don’t look at his feed if offended… apparently he’s got a following. If management didn’t like it they’d shut him down.

Social media is one giant advertisement. This guy is an ad for United just like the various others are for their employers.

there’s the rub. In the eyes of the 25 yr old in HR, he’s a great advertisement for United. In the eyes of most pilots who’ve been in this business more than a minute, he’s a horrible advertisement for the profession and ALPA.

Odds are a 25 year old in HR (the average age in the HR department is way above that anyway) has a better sense of the culture and trends than a typical line pilot. We pilots have a very narrow window of what we deem as acceptable social norms. There's no problem with that, but just realize that the rest of the world doesn't share that mindset.
