I guess he doesn’t know about the re education camps?

The vaccines are not experimental they are approved for emergency use. Soon they will be FDA approved.
- meaning they are experimental. Good luck! Of course the gov only wants the best for us.

What is your suggested strategy for return to unrestricted international travel without mass vaccination and digital health passports?
- Turn off the news and social media. We’d all go back to having colds, flu and pneumonia. Just like 2019
So following your logic:
don't take any drugs until it has been around 20 years because "we can't be sure" - guess you'll never want to fly a plane designed in the last 20 years.
Calling a drug experimental doesn't make it so. The day it received emergency authorization it stopped being experimental, no matter what you say. You don't have to be signed up for a trial to take it = not experimental.
We don't control other countries and they are going to require vaccination records/passports. Turning off social media doesn't affect other countries and the policies they have. For a company that generates as much revenue from international travel, I'd think you would want a pathway to re-capture that market share when it is available.

We live in a free country where for the most part, people are free to make stupid decisions. No one is forcing anyone to take the shot. But why on earth would you not? if you are vaccinated, you have a 99.99% chance of not dying from COVID; over 90% of covid cases today are in those not vaccinated; in areas with vaccination rates above 70%, 98% of new COVID cases are in people who are not vaccinated. I couldn’t find the number, but obviously, the death rate amongst non-vaccinated persons is much much greater than vaccinated persons. We all make choices in life, and like it or not, must deal with the consequences of those decisions. It’s your choice … the decision matrix just got a bit more complicated.

It's a bad idea to forge the vax card and here's why...

https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2021/0...ential-dangers

In summary you get a qr code "shc:/<data>" which contains a digital signature. Anyone can forge an SHC but not anyone can digitally sign their card. Most vax sites will send you a qr code if you ask, and this is essentially the same thing as the paper card in digital form. But unlike the paper card, the employer can check the digital signature to verify who issued the card.

Anyone who has the vax should download and backup their qr code. Decode it to be sure you're getting an SHC (starts with "shc:/") and not a url link to that info.

I don't know if the shc is reissued upon expiration of the signer's keypair or not, or if the keypairs expire. So it's also probably best to keep your login current with whoever issued your card.

Civil disobedience is still disobedience.

Why are you on the UAL forum then? Go burn your company's forum. At least 91% was ok with it prior. So it's clearly a solid majority.

To the original topic, did 2 people actually get fired or is this still just a rumor?

Just checked with 3 people who work in that department, and 2 instructors that facilitate BI, none of them have heard anything about this. Not saying it didn't happen, but nobody has heard anything internally nor witnessed any "missing" new-hires FWIW.

Maybe, but then they wouldn't have been in BI nor eligible to be "fired."
