I'm slated for URQ3 in the 756, was awarded 787, will probably remain on 756 until Sep 2022 by the looks of it. (i.e. congrats on your award, you're not going anywhere for a while)
Otherwise, I believe the goal is send you to training 45 days before the effective date (Jan 30, 2022 in this case) so you can complete training and IOE prior to that date, but it's a goal not a rule. (Educated folks on here, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.)
Thanks for that, going 737FO->737CA, it looks like I won’t be held back for the same reasons, but with PP texts blasting my phone for the last 4 weeks, could they hold me to the end until they get more guys through NH training and into my current seat?

Good info. Thanks.

I’ve never heard of the 45 day goal. (Not doubting you). In fact, I’m hoping it’s true. Is that something they’ve always done? I usually just fly my trip then go home and haven’t had to think about training for a long time!

I was the 8 ball in my class, spent over 6 years at a regional and over 6 as an expat flying heavies around the world. I personally know several other 8 balls with similar backgrounds and a few that were regional then LCC. Granted, we were all hired several years ago towards the front end of the last round of hiring and were probably older then the average now. Not saying that’s normal but you did say “find me one”, so can’t always judge a book by its cover.

Slated for or hoping for a URQ3? Where are you now? I too can do a URQ3 and for the right base will do it. However I'm currently on the triple and wonder if they'd do that, since apparently they will need 777 pilots too.

8-F-7 may come in play here also, particularly, 8-F-7-a-(3) The first day of the second Bid Period following the Bid Period that contains his vacancy award effective date. For example, if his vacancy award effective date is January 10th, he shall be paid the new rate beginning on the first day of the March Bid Period

If I interpret this correctly with the the effective date of the award being 30 January, 2022 if you are still in your old seat as of 1 April you start getting paid your new rate.

URQ3 scheduled for Aug 25th - I'd rather not go and move on, but needs of the (service) company. Sounds like if you're on 777, you might also be in the same boat, depends on if BES you're going to needs you more.

Yup, that's the way I read it. Pay and per diem don't kick in for the "held" group until March/April - I haven't looked at where Jan 30th falls in the bid months.

There ya go! And whenever the 321XLR shows up, you will love your tray table even more. Whereas, us guppy peeps will still have a big old yoke in front of us.

Yeah, but the brakes are small, so it all works out.
