Even if it takes 6-12 months until you’re on the line, who cares? The fact we are hiring and you have an assessment invite in your inbox right now literally a year after our airline (and everyone else) was on the verge of collapse is nothing short of incredible. Best of luck to you getting through the hoops and I do hope to have you join us!

Hiring is going to be substantial. We are 1,200 pilots short by the end of the year. There’s going to be another vacancy right after this one to clean up the 770 people who went back to widebody planes and allow the slots for new hires to be assigned. If not, they are all going to be 756 FOs in SFO, LAX and DCA since that’s where this bids vacancies are all. Plus they have to staff the 10 787s still coming this year and all the new guppy MAX planes. Should be an interesting year for vacancy bids.

mountains and molehills...
That’s the point, no adjective needed. Why is it ok to add one to white guys when you wouldn’t think of adding one to any other race? How about just treating everyone equally including white guys? Let the hardest working, most talented person get the prize, not because they are part of some group they have no control over.

Like Squallrider, I was also super excited/surprised/honored to receive the email about the assessments yesterday morning. Seems like there's a fair amount of belief in the strategy of a stiff drink prior to taking the assessments to truly just be yourself and answer honestly. Thoughts?

I’ve heard the drink method before, I don’t want to look back and wonder if I messed up an answer because I had a drink. Also, yes be your self, but avoid answering true to almost any question involving “I always do this” or “I never do that”. Also be consistent. If you are out going, stick with those types of answers. If anyone thinks I’m wrong I’m all for it

Don’t overthink it.

There’s a lot of Hogan discussion below. Good luck.

Tried the beer method first attempt, and it didn't work. Second go I prefaced every question with at work. Snuck through on the second try ymmv.
