We are slowly moving forward, the flying this summer will be >80% of 2019. I’m just glad that any kind of good news seems to irritate all the all knowing Naysayers waiting around the corner to give us the I told you so talk. May 6th we are starting SNA-HNL on the 737-700 👍👌.

Not sure about that, United was the first of the majors to stop interviewing when the pandemic wasn’t even a thing in the US. If I’m not mistaken, they stopped sending interview invites in January while everyone else was interviewing right up to when things went south in March.

To be honest, no one is all knowing in this mess. All we have are positive and negative speculation. I hope that we do get to 70-80% by year end, but considering how much of our 2019 schedule was widebody international and the predictions for that market being the last to recover, I’m not going to be surprised if we come up short.
Plus, America has a pretty marred reputation in the global community for its handling of the pandemic, so even as countries begin to reopen, we could very well find ourselves on many early no entry lists.
Lots of variables, though, & I’d love to be wrong- a summer recovery would be a very welcome development.
