This is a strictly voluntary LOA they put together.
This is NOT remotely equivalent to our current TA.
DAL is still negotiating their version of our Pandemic Recovery LOA (...and it’s going to look very similar to ours when it comes out.)
Everyone relax.

If UALs (and AA has something similar) Ta passes, thereby saving furloughs in large part to get running full steam once the virus passes, dal management will have to offer up something much more substantial to also keep from furloughing (and not missing out on a quick recovery). UALs Ta approval could bode very well for dalpa.

People have been changed permanently. The travel levels of 2019 aren't coming back for years. There is no rolling full steam when the virus passes. Even Biden is putting out campaign messages saying his solution for the virus is to make the entire country where masks for years even when outside. That TA at Delta might die at the MEC level and never even get to a vote.
The federal gov has absolutely no authority to mandate masks. If they did it would have already been done. All Biden has said is he will try to convince governors to continue with mandates, most likely by threatening to withhold federal funding.

DL Mgmt threw their proposal to save all furloughs to our MEC less than two weeks ago. No LOA / TA right now. The Voluntary TA was the main item at the MEC meeting last week and MEC vote was punted until after 1 Oct (proably to see what happens with CARES 2). DALPA MEC is currently reviewing the company proposal and I'm sure countering. Haven't heard even a rumor of what the company ask is.

Did anyone on APC with 130 in their screen name vote yes for this TA? Independent thinking is hard.
